The software package 4Events Gymnastics Scoring System
is no longer available for new purchase.
The product has been functionally stabilized.

Issue: |
Windows Vista Users
During the installation of the 4Events product, some
customers may receive the Error 1721 at the end of the
install process.
The installation will perform a back out. The product
install does NOT complete. |

| Resolution: |
Press the "OK" button. The
installation will be backed out.
The Windows User Account Control (UAC) must be turned off
during the install.
The Windows UAC feature can be found in "User Account"
within the Control Panel. |

|
Issue: |
Some users have reported an problem starting the 4Events
program after installing a new release.
The reported problem is as follows:
Start 4Events
Splash screen is displayed
A "ding" sound is heard.
Program seems to stop. |

| Resolution: |
There appears to be an update applied by
Windows Update that is incompatible with 4Events. The
problem above has also been reported by users that have not
modified or installed a new release of 4Events.
The following steps have corrected the problems for users:
1 - Uninstall 4Events from the Control Panel. Existing
data will not be deleted.
2 - Run Windows Update and apply all available maintenance.
3 - Restart/Reboot PC
4 - Reinstall latest release of 4Events
5 - Start 4Events |

Issue: |

Some users have reported an error when attempting to install
a new release using the SETUP.EXE file. |
|

| Resolution: |
The 4Events.msi can also be used to
install the product. This is the Windows Installer
installation file.
Right-click on the 4Events.msi file and click "Install". |

Issue: |
Windows Vista ONLY
When starting the 4Events application, the following pop-up
will be display during initialization. No action needs
to be taken. Click "OK" and continue. We are
working to remove this pop-up. |

| Click the "OK" button. The product
will continue to function normally. |

Issue: |
During the installation of the 4Events product, some
customers may receive the Error 1931.
The module or name of the DLL may be different than the one
shown below. |

| Press the "OK" button. The
installation will continue and complete correctly. |

Issue: |
When opening a window such as "Meets" or "Teams", the follow
error can occur:
Runtime error 523 Data Binding DLL "VB5DB.DLL" Could Not Be
Loaded |
| Resolution: |
The module VB5DB.DLL could not be found.
This file should be in the directory C:\Windows\System32
This file is required. The file can be downloaded from
many sites.
Download VB5DB.DLL from Gagle Software
Save the file in the directory C:\Windows\System32 |

Runtime error "tabctl32.ocx" Could Not Be
Found or Loaded |
| Resolution: |
The module tabctl32.ocx could not be found.
This file should be in the directory C:\Windows\System32
This file is required. The file can be downloaded from
many sites.
Download tabctl32.ocx from Gagle Software
Save the file in the directory C:\Windows\System32
After saving the tabctl32.ocx file it must be registered.
Using the RUN command from the START button, enter the
following RUN command:
Regsvr32 C:\Windows\system32\tabctl32.ocx |

Runtime errors indicating missing or incorrectly registered
activeX modules. |

The Microsoft Visual Basic 6.0: Run-Time
modules must be downloaded and installed.
